As of 13 August 2026, AI can create quiz questions for your party.
Most people should do this themselves; the prompt is on this page.

If this goes wrong: a question is dull, too difficult or factually wrong, so you remove it or replace it before the party.

The route this page recommends
A chat interface, no skill needed, and roughly 15 minutes until you can act on the result.
How to actually do it
- Decide the party's occasion, guest age range, approximate number of players, quiz length, tone and subjects for the rounds.
- Gather any personal facts, inside jokes, photos, house rules or event details that you want included, and remove anything guests have not agreed to share.
- Open a chatbot such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and paste the prompt with your party details filled into the brackets.
- Read the generated questions aloud and delete anything too private, awkward, repetitive, unclear or unsuitable for the guests.
- Check factual answers against a reliable source or your own records, then paste the final questions and answer key into a document for printing or sharing.
Prompt
Create a party quiz for [occasion] with [number] questions for [number or description] of guests. Use these rounds or subjects: [rounds or subjects]. Set the difficulty to [easy, mixed or difficult] and the tone to [tone]. Include a clear answer key and label each round. Mix question types, including multiple choice, true or false and short answer, but do not use obscure facts unless I ask for them. Use UK spelling and references where relevant. Do not invent facts about my guests or event. Flag any question or answer that may be disputed, time-sensitive or dependent on local knowledge. Keep the questions concise enough to read aloud and avoid repeated answers or clues. Before giving the final set, check that every answer matches its question and that the number of questions is correct.
Open it prefilled in ChatGPT or Claude, or copy it into Gemini, which takes no prefill link.

What it gets wrong
- AI cannot know which inside jokes will make this particular group laugh rather than feel singled out.
- It can produce plausible but incorrect answers, especially for dates, names, local facts and recent events.
- It cannot judge the room's boundaries or spot every question that could embarrass a guest.
- It does not replace the host's choice of pace, scoring and which questions to remove.
Even on a YES, the friction has a name: taste and context depth.
How we scored this
Five axes, each scored nought to two by hand: ten means AI carries the task cleanly, and the thresholds that turn a total into YES, PARTLY or NO are published in the methodology. Each axis name links to its definition.
| Axis | Score (0–2) |
|---|---|
| Output | 2 |
| Inputs | 2 |
| Verification | 2 |
| Liability | 2 |
| Effort delta | 2 |
| Total | 10 / 10 |
The methodology and its thresholds are published in full.
FAQ
- Can ChatGPT make a quiz for my party?
- Yes. It can create themed rounds, question types and an answer key from details such as the occasion, guests, subjects and difficulty. You still need to remove unsuitable questions and check the answers.
- What should I tell AI when making party quiz questions?
- Give it the number of questions, guest age range, subjects, difficulty, tone and any facts it must use. Tell it to use UK spelling, avoid invented personal details and flag answers that may be disputed or time-sensitive.
- Will AI quiz questions be factually correct?
- Not always. Check names, dates, recent events, local facts and any answer you do not already know before using the quiz.
- Can AI make quiz questions about my friends?
- Yes, if you provide suitable facts and have permission to use them. AI cannot judge whether an inside joke will embarrass someone, so remove questions about private, sensitive or unwelcome subjects yourself.
